A contrast of wood and steel —
With its wood seat and back and steel frame, the CH88 obtains its visual appeal from a contrast of materials. That construction also provides it the ability to be moved around easily and even stacked, while also providing a comfortable seat and a distinctive place to rest one’s elbows.
Details
Comfort and form
The CH88 Stacking Chair (1955) fuses warm wood and industrial steel in one unified form. It combines a steam-molded wooden back with upturned ends to provide a natural resting place for your arms and an oval wooden seat on a tubular steel frame. Carl Hansen & Søn launched the CH88 Stacking Chair in 2014 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of designer Hans Wegner’s birth. Made in Denmark.
