Designed by Lucian Ercolani, founder of Ercol, the Originals Collection comprises pieces of timeless and classic design that never date, as relevant and functional now as when they were created. The Butterfly Chair (1958) is handcrafted in solid ash with traditional joinery techniques, free of metal or screws. It features Windsor wedge joints, which use tapered tenons with wedges to form strong connections between the legs and seat. With its distinctive curved seat and back plies, reminiscent of the profile of a butterfly’s wings, this chair offers an exceptionally comfortable sit. Made in the U.K.
