The Revolt Chair embodies designer Friso Kramer’s distinctively innovative, minimalist style. Friso Kramer
After graduating in Interior Design from the Institute of Applied Arts in Amsterdam, Friso Kramer worked as a designer from 1948–1963 at De Cirkel, a manufacturer of steel furniture. As his furniture – most notably the Revolt Chair he co-designed with Wim Rietveld – gained in popularity across homes and public spaces, Kramer became one of the preeminent names in modern Dutch design.
