Designed by Benjamin Cherner for Cherner Chair Company
A piece of Americana —
A unique and original American design, the Cherner Chair soared in popularity when it appeared on the cover of the Saturday Evening Post in 1961 Norman Rockwell’s painting “The Artist at Work.”
Details
Strength and beauty
In 1999, Benjamin and Thomas Cherner brought their father's Cherner Chair back into production. The success of the chair inspired Benjamin – a New York-based architect and multidisciplinary designer – to create the Cherner Table (2003). Echoing the lines of the chair, this table has a top with a solid core of multi-ply beech plywood overlaid with walnut veneer. This is the authentic Cherner Table produced by the Cherner Chair Company. Made in U.S.A.
