Details
A Dutch designer who works out of his studio in Rotterdam, Johan van Hengel leverages his industrial design experience to create lighting and furniture for a variety of clients. His approach is logical and investigative, with an eye toward imbuing his pieces with an element of surprise. The lightweight 30 Degrees Shade is made by affixing ends of semicircular oak veneer sheets at a 30-degree angle, hence its name. It’s distinguished by an opaque woodgrain surface sealed with matte lacquer, featuring an elegant natural look. Cord set with bulb sold separately. Made in China.
