Ode to a legend —
Inspired by revered architect and designer George Nakashima, the Koku Table is named after the Japanese island of Shikoku, site of Nakashima’s former workshops.
Details
Danish design studio Norm Architects developed the Koku Table (2021) in response to George Nakashima’s sculptural and material-led approach to crafting objects. This table strikes a fine balance between light and heavy visual elements for a look that never tires. It consists of a round top mounted on a thick rectangular vertical slab with extended foot reinforced by a thin support rod. With its intriguing proportions, Koku makes a charming addition to the home or workplace. Made in Poland.
