Details
“Grasso is not fat. Grasso is more than fat. It’s overflowing,” says Stephen Burks of his Grasso Collection (2018) for Barcelona Design (BD). In luxe leather or fabric upholstery “oozing” over a deep, curved tubular iron frame, it telegraphs “ultra-comfort” and becomes seductively inviting to sit in. The back has no stitching and is hand-upholstered in a single piece. Winner of the 2019 NYCxDesign Award for best lounge seating. Made in Spain.
