Designed by Studio 7.5 for Herman Miller®
The manual for the Setu Chair (2009) is pretty straightforward: Sit down. This multipurpose chair defines flexibility, moving as the user moves, with a clean aesthetic that suits nearly any home or office space. Its true innovation comes from the patented kinematic spine, which connects the back and seat into one continuous support. Inspired by nature with its spiraling nautilus shell shape and contours, Setu’s unique spine conforms to the shape of your own, without the need for any manual adjustments or complicated lumbar supports. Its seat and back are made with Lyris™ elastomer, an innovative material that distributes your weight evenly by stretching in every direction. It’s no accident that this chair is designed for a healthy back – Setu is Sanskrit for “bridge” and is borrowed from the yoga pose Setu Bandhasana, a strengthening backbend. Setu was selected by Interior Design as a distinctive design winner in its Annual Design Review of 2010. Backed by a 12-year manufacturer's warranty. This is the authentic Setu Chair by Herman Miller. Made in U.S.A.
