Details

Copenhagen-based Thomas Bentzen is a designer who thinks beyond the obvious. A perfect example of his approach is the lightweight, portable Don’t Leave Me Side Table (2007) for Danish design company HAY. It features a handle for easy carrying from room to room and a tripod base for excellent stability. Bentzen expanded on the style to include an XL version in 2009. Made in China.

Thomas Bentzen

Thomas Bentzen designs furniture that’s functional and simple but also engages curiosity. “I like to create objects that satisfy a human need when in use and create joy when idle,” he says. Bentzen started his Copenhagen studio in 2010, and is known for his methodical approach as well as thinking beyond the obvious. He’s passionate about creating products that are both engaging and durable.
