Located in Sonoma County, California, Malm started as a sheet metal manufacturer in the 1950s, and some of the original employees dabbled in making fireplaces on the weekends. From weekend hobby to full-fledged business, Malm was one of the original manufacturers of freestanding fireplaces and is the only one still in existence today. Since the mid-20th century these fireplaces have been used in iconic modern spaces worldwide. The Fireplace comes with a three-piece flue for ceilings up to eight feet. (Additional flue pieces are available for taller ceilings.) The advantage of a freestanding fireplace is that it heats up and radiates more efficiently. And unlike traditional wood-burning stoves, Malm gives you a clear view of the fire from a variety of angles. For outdoor use, choose the stainless steel Malm Fireplace, as the white version can rust if left in inclement weather. Check local building and outdoor fireplace codes for installation requirements. Made in U.S.A.
Steel; stainless or white porcelain finish; removable front screen.
The Malm Fireplace Flue Extension is available separately, accommodating ceilings up to 35 feet. It is recommended that a local contractor be consulted/hired for interior installations. Third-party interior ceiling connection components not included.
