Details

Light + Ladder’s founder, Farrah Sit, approaches design through the lens of “own less, own well.” Her works are decorative – but not purely so. They toe the line between art and function with a minimalist aesthetic. Sit designed Hadron with the intent of creating a practical watering can that is also beautiful enough to be displayed. Crafted of ceramic with a matte finish, it delivers durability and sculptural appeal.

Farrah Sit

Using a process of material reduction, designer Farrah Sit creates lighting, furniture, and objects that balance quiet minimalism with evocative form. Her functional art is inspired by an ethos to “own less, own well,” with each piece a contemplation on essentiality – from porcelain pendants to a ceramic watering can, Sit’s sculptural take transforms the utilitarian into moments of poetic beauty.
