Tennis courts’ grid layout inspired the design of the Clay Court Rug (2020), influencing the cut, shape, and color of the floor covering’s individual segments. Multiple pile heights and textures add visual and sensory interest to the hand-tufted rug, which is made from a blend of wool and viscose yarns. Finished with a cotton woven backing, the piece is part of the Court Series of rugs by Brooklyn-based designers An Aesthetic Pursuit. Made in India.
