Inspired by yarn technique
Weaver Eleanor Pritchard specializes in creating contemporary textiles inspired by traditional British fabrics. Her Spindle Rug (2017) features a large-scale repeating pattern of thick and thin blocks center-scored with accent lines. Spindle has a pleasing simplicity and references the vertical line of yarn on a drop spindle – an instrument that aids in the creation of yarn from fibers through a process of twisting them – for which it’s named. Suitable for use indoors and out. Made in India.
