Founded in 1902, Maharam is a New York-based company known worldwide for its extraordinary textiles, with a diverse portfolio of designers. To create the Element Rug (2019) Maharam collaborated with Stefan Scholten and Carole Baijings, Dutch designers known for innovative use of grids, color, and layered patterns. Reflecting their unique geometric style, this handwoven rug combines specially developed felted wool yarn with contrasting rayon yarn bordering a single edge. Made in India.
