Perfect asymmetry
Turkish designer Begüm Cana Özgür opened her studio in Istanbul, where the cultural richness of the land has provided her with major inspiration, particularly with respect to ancient crafting techniques. Shade (2017) is a hand-loomed fringed rug that features neutral tones and a subtly captivating asymmetrical linear pattern. Together with nonprofit Care & Fair, Nani Marquina fights illegal child labor in carpet manufacturing. Made in India.
