One of England’s most influential designers, Tom Dixon is guided by instinct. For the FAT Sofa (2024), the self-taught designer experimented with silhouette to craft a minimalist form that accentuates exaggerated proportions, with oversized backrests that embrace the sitter. Hand-finished and -upholstered, FAT has a modular design that allows for myriad configurations – each one just as inviting as the next – that look good from any angle. Dixon notes, “The fatness of these curved backrests and the thickness of the upholstery make these a really comfortable series of furniture.” Made in Denmark.
