For his Fat L-Shaped Modular Sofa (2024), British designer Tom Dixon experimented with silhouette to craft a minimalist form with exaggerated proportions. Oversized backrests embrace the sitter while curvy, low-slung seats allow for a range of relaxed positions. Hand-finished and -upholstered, Fat has a modular design that allows for myriad configurations – each one as inviting as the next. Dixon notes, “The fatness of these curved backrests and the thickness of the upholstery make these a really comfortable series of furniture.” Made in Denmark.

Born in Tunisia and raised in England, Tom Dixon’s reputation frequently precedes him.
