Details
When they designed the Can Sofa (2016), Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec reimagined it as a form that’s less complex but just as relaxed and comfortable. Its most striking feature is its meticulously engineered, exposed tubular steel frame. The light and graceful frame is fitted with an embracing hammock-like canvas sling, which in turn supports plush seat cushions. The ample, welcoming cushions crafted from down-padded high-density foam represent a playful juxtaposition to the minimalist frame. Made in Poland.

Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec
The brothers Bourouellec opened their joint Paris-based design studio in 1999. Being brothers in addition to business partners allows them to bounce ideas off each other, trusting that difference of opinion will spur creativity.
