Recalling his time in the Singaporean Navy, Gabriel Tan drew inspiration for his Port Table (2017) from the porthole aboard ships, with its stout frame surrounding a pane of circular glass. “In the same way a porthole frame protects,” Tan says, “the round wooden frame of the Port Table protects the edges of the stone or glass from chipping and protects people from sharp edges.” The three fin-like legs have soft edges, too, making them shin-friendly and beautifully sculptural. Made in Malaysia.
  • Softened lines project a sculptural motif.
  • Wood edge protects glass or stone top.

Care & Maintenance

Stone Care

Wipe up spills immediately. If neglected, spills of wine, coffee, ketchup, oils and acidic substances such as vinegar and citrus juice can discolor marble. Clean regularly with a soft cloth dampened with a solution of mild detergent and warm water. Never use solvents, window cleaner, household cleaners, or abrasives of any kind. Apply a stone sealer once a year to help protect finish.

Glass Care

Dust with a damp cloth and clean occasionally with any good quality glass cleaner and a soft cloth. Never use abrasives or solvents of any kind.

Wood Care

Regularly dust wood portions of table with a damp soft cloth. Clean occasionally with a soft cloth dampened with a solution of mild detergent and lukewarm water.
