The Pacha Outdoor Ottoman (1975) features an embracing, organic form set on a slim, swiveling base that raises it just a few inches off the ground. Upholstered with two layers of outdoor suitable fabric, Pacha's inner layer is water repellent. Pacha's designer, Pierre Paulin developed designs that supported low-level living – a new approach to sitting introduced in the 1960s that bid adieu to chair legs and embraced low-slung profiles for easy, laid-back lounging. Pierre Paulin

Modernist French designer Pierre Paulin was a pioneer in low-level living. While his oeuvre spans decades of modern materials, techniques, and industrial projects, he’s best known for introducing a new approach to sitting — one that bid adieu to chair legs and embraced low-slung profiles for easy, laid-back lounging. Paulin’s iconic designs figure in museums and collections around the world.
