Emilio Halperin

“I grew up in a Latin American home and was fortunate enough to work in Denmark right out of college – so I’ve been exposed to two incredibly vibrant design cultures,” Emilio Halperin says.

That interest in Danish design drew him far from the Pacific Northwest, where he had studied product design at the University of Oregon. After working in Copenhagen, Halperin relocated to New York, honing his skills at Billy Cotton and Demisch Danant. He opened his own studio in 2024. The Mexican-American designer blends the characteristic color, texture, and warmth of Latin American design with a Scandinavian sense of restraint and proportion, driving processes through research and prototyping. Halperin partners closely with everyone he works with at every stage – whether millwork, fabrication, or upholstery – to ensure integrity of craftsmanship from start to finish.
