Details

Nearly a century after its debut, one of Poul Henningsen's most sculptural expressions returns. Originally named the "Bombardement," the PH 1/1 Chandelier (2026) carries forward his foundational approach to glare-free light with its clustered, multi-shade construction. The design branches multiple arms from a central stem, each fitted with its own shade system, available in 3, 6, or 9-arm configurations. Layered, mouth-blown glass softens and reflects illumination evenly across the full fixture, without harshness or variation. Bulbs (not included): E12, 10W. Made in Denmark.
  • Layered mouth-blown glass distributes light evenly, without harsh spots.
  • Structure branches from a central stem, available in 3, 6, or 9-arm configurations.
  • Originally introduced in 1933 as the “Bombardement” Chandelier.
  • A sculptural centerpiece steeped in design history.
  • Chandelier produced by the Danish lighting manufacturer founded in 1874.

Poul Henningsen

Trained as an architect, Poul Henningsen is best known for a series of lighting fixtures that resulted from his fascination with the then-new technology of the electric light bulb. In 1925, one of these fixtures won first prize for lighting at the International Exposition of Decorative Arts in Paris. The next year it was put into production by Louis Poulsen & Co.
