Designed by Avar Aalto in 1935, Artek's Chair 65 distills the pioneering architect’s vision to its essence: clean lines, honest structure, and quiet functionality. A low rectangular backrest – formed from a single piece of birch plywood – curves gently to support the body, while its modest height allows the chair to tuck neatly beneath a table. The distinctive circular seat and L-shaped legs belong to Aalto's standardized system of components, a thoughtful approach to design that prioritizes both craft and practicality.
