Trained in woodworking, Marcel Gascoin was best known for his affinity for wood. The M-Chair (1937) – reissued by GUBI – is an earlier work that shows the French designer was equally skilled with metal. Based on archival sources, the finely honed taper of the metal legs, counterbalanced by the angle of the backrest, is sharp and decisive in precision. The cushioned seat and back offer ample comfort, complementing the chair’s timeless proportions. Made in Poland.
