Matthew Hilton created the Profile Chair (2005) to accompany his Cross Extension Table, which was honored with the 2006 Elle Decoration Best in Furniture Award. An ergonomic solution for dining, Profile is simply shaped with splayed back legs and an angled backrest that’s curved for comfortable support. The padded seat is upholstered in leather, and the frame is sturdily built in solid oak or walnut. Stacks up to six high. Walnut chair made in Thailand, oak in Lithuania.
  • Strong and comfortable with a streamlined style.
  • Pairs well with many types of dining tables.
  • Stacks up to six high.
  • Some pieces may exhibit pith rays on legs, which are normal, not defects.

Matthew Hilton

Matthew Hilton has learned from every piece he’s designed – because it allowed him to work in a new material, to work with a new manufacturer or for stylistic reasons. He designs with the end user in mind, and whether that means a household of 10 or one, he takes pleasure in finding the fluid, easily adaptable solution to fit today’s domestic spaces.
