French-born, New York-based designer Sophie Lou Jacobsen creates objects that turn everyday moments into rituals to savor. Inspired by her frequent visits to Milan, she celebrates pre-dinner Italian traditions with her Aperitivo Bowls (2026). Nodding to the retro glamor of Italy’s discos, this set of three is embedded with sparkling Swarovski crystals on the glass sides, glinting and out of view as the bowls fill and empty through the night. Handwash only. Made in China.

Sophie Lou Jacobsen

French-American designer Sophie Lou Jacobsen creates objects and furniture for everyday use, but with details designed to delight the user. Working mainly with colored borosilicate glass as her medium, Jacobsen explores the relationship between humans and the inanimate, imbuing a sense of poetry into the objects with which we surround ourselves, from cocktail glasses to pendant lights.
