Details
The Elise Lamp (1998) has a design as clean and pure as anything produced by the Bauhaus, with a softer edge that’s very much in tune with today’s sensibilities. Conceived by Pablo Pardo, a San Francisco-based industrial designer whose award-winning pieces are characterized by simplicity and utility, this understated lamp is neutral enough to work in a wide range of interiors. Elise consists of a machined aluminum base and translucent tubular diffuser with a built-in dimmer switch for variable lighting control. Bulb (included): 90W/PAR38.

Pablo Pardo
Venezuelan-born Pablo Pardo comes from a family of designers, and his work is deceptively simple, often made from no more than a couple of materials, beautifully crafted and devoid of superfluous details. Once in use, however, his lamps take on a new character that is more experiential than simply visual. It is the experience rather than the look of an object that Pardo seeks in his designs.
