The lamp's acrylic finial serves as both a visual signature and the primary control mechanism. To activate the Panthella Portable Lamp, simply press the top finial once. The lamp illuminates at full brightness by default.
Touch-dimming functionality allows precise light level adjustment. Press and hold the finial to gradually reduce or increase brightness. The lamp cycles through dimming levels smoothly, allowing users to select their preferred illumination intensity for different activities or times of day. Release the finial when the desired brightness is reached.
To turn off the lamp, press the finial briefly again. The lamp remembers the last brightness setting used, so subsequent activations return to that level rather than always starting at full brightness. This memory function proves particularly useful for bedside placement, where consistent low-level lighting may be preferred for nighttime use.
The 160 Panthella Portable Lamp measures 9.125 inches in height with a 6.375-inch diameter shade. The larger 250 size stands 13.25 inches tall with a 9.875-inch diameter. The lamp weighs just two pounds in the smaller size and three pounds in the larger format, making it easy to relocate throughout a home or workspace.
