Details
As the director of the Knoll Planning Unit, Florence Knoll Bassett revolutionized interior planning by implementing a “total design” approach that embraced everything about a space, including architecture, graphics and textiles. She brought the same sensibilities to designing furniture, illustrated by her iconic Florence Knoll Bench (1954). It features an exposed chrome-plated steel frame topped with individually sewn squares of leather. Frame made in Italy, upholstery in U.S.A.
