Details
Twentieth-century Italian designer Tito Agnoli was proficient in many creative disciplines – art, architecture, and industrial design – but he is best remembered for his work with rattan. With gentle contours that support the body’s natural curves, his 1964 P3 Lounge Chair, reissued by GUBI, embodies the Bauhaus-inspired clarity of ’60s Italian modernism. Faithfully crafted in partnership with rattan specialists Bonacina 1889, with whom Agnoli closely collaborated, the P3 Lounge Chair features split rattan woven by hand around a tubular steel frame, creating a durable, flexible seating surface that gives way to comfort. Made in Indonesia.
