Twentieth-century Italian designer Tito Agnoli was proficient in many creative disciplines – art, architecture, and industrial design – but he is best remembered for his work with rattan. With gentle contours that support the body’s natural curves, his 1964 P3S Chaise Lounge, reissued by GUBI, embodies the Bauhaus-inspired clarity of ’60s Italian modernism. Faithfully crafted in partnership with preeminent rattan specialists Bonacina 1889, with whom Agnoli closely collaborated, the P3S Chaise Lounge has been adapted for modern outdoor living with high-performance synthetic rattan – offering the textural warmth of natural rattan while standing up to the elements. Made in Indonesia.
