HAY is a Danish design firm established in 2002 by Mette and Rolf Hay, who were driven by a desire to create straightforward, functional and beautiful products for modern living. Drawing from the best of architecture and fashion, the HAY designers’ favorite tools are innovation, technology and color. The Flowerpot with Saucer is classic in form but modern in material. It’s crafted of polystone, a compound of polyurethane resin and powdered stone. The result is a stone-like feel and a satisfying weight. This pot has no drainage hole but because the material is porous, a saucer is provided. Made in China.

Beautiful porous planter
Ordered this as a prettier alternative to a terracotta pot (wanted a porous planter). Looks exactly like concrete and has ceramic/stoneware feel to it. It has substantial weight, yet the cat knocked it first thing on the floor. Pot got some cracks but didn’t shatter and is still perfectly usable. Want more of these!
