Pritzker Prize laureate Sir David Chipperfield brings his exacting language of proportion, materiality, and restraint to a new medium with Tegel (2023), a hand-tufted bouclé rug that marks his first collaboration with Kasthall. Inspired by the weathered brick façades of the Swedish manufacturer's late 19th-century factory in Kinna – and the way rugs layer and overlap in lived-in interiors – each design deploys three complementary earth tones in architectural color blocks that quietly anchor and organize a room. Tegel is crafted from premium wool and linen, materials that create a subtle interplay of shadow and light across the looped bouclé surface. Each rug includes tag signed by Chipperfield and is backed by a 10-year warranty. Made in Sweden.
