Hard-working, eco-friendly
Kristine Five Melvær explores how objects and materials can forge emotional bonds with users. Her Mix Mat (2016) features a mélange of rectangular shapes in complementary hues that create a pattern reminiscent of traditional woven textiles. Highly absorbent and durable, Mix Mat is suitable for use indoors and out with a rubber backing that prevents slippage. Manufactured from 50% post-consumer polyester and 50% recycled plastic bottles. Machine washable. Made in Belgium.

Great Look. Questionable Materials
Purchased the Gem color way during a recent DWR sale. It looks great as an internal front door rug for our modern craftsman home, but the feel and smell of the material is noticeable - plastic-like. It seems like the quality could be improved to match the aesthetic.
