Details

A modern interpretation of Olle Pira’s 1954 elegant and adaptable structure, Pira Floor Shelving (2022) has been reimagined by architect Anna von Schewen and industrial designer Björn Dahlström using today’s technology and materials. Designed as a sculptural storage system that can also serve as a room divider for home or office, the floor-to-ceiling mounted system features artfully detailed, incredibly durable aluminum and steel frames paired with warm wood cabinets. Its modular, interlocking series of joints are extendable to reach most ceilings and, once assembled, appears to be built as one. Pira’s robust framework is made to meet modern needs while its refined midcentury detailing salutes the past. Weight capacity per shelf: 120 lbs. Per section: 770 lbs. Made in Sweden.

Assembly and attachment of this item to a wall or other hard surface is not included in Threshold or In-Home Delivery.
