Tailored to perfection
With his Costura Sofa Collection (2015), Jon Gasca wanted to bring back the practice of working with artisans and celebrate the noble traditions of the small ateliers in his native Spain. “My grandmother was a tailor for the fashion house Balenciaga,” says the designer. “I wanted to use all the tailoring techniques I learned from her and bring them into the future. The collection’s name means ‘sewing’ or ‘couture’ in English.” Made in Spain.
