Maharam Pillow - 11x21
Since 1902, Maharam has culled the finest textile designers to create innovative fabrics and upholstery. These 11x21 pillows feature the work of Hella Jongerius, Paul Smith and Alexander Girard.

Stripes by Paul Smith (in the Maharam color "modulating stripe," abbreviated "stripe" on swatch) was designed in collaboration with Smith, the British designer who is known for his playful use of color. It's made with an environmentally approved manufacturing process, with dyes free of heavy metals.

Mikado (in the Maharam color "sepia") was designed by Alexander Girard, considered by many to be the greatest textile designer of modern time. Mikado was designed in 1954, during Girard's tenure as director of design in Herman Miller's textile division.

Repeat Classic Stripe (in the Maharam color "cadet") was designed by Hella Jongerius for Maharam. Jongerius approaches design through the stories her products can tell, while her Stripe was an effort to create "unique objects and serial output" simultaneously. Her work balances artistic expression with the confines of mass production.
