Jens Risom: A Seat at the Table by Vicky Lowry (Phaidon) is the first monograph of the Danish-American designer’s work, surveying his life, prolific career of influential designs, and his legacy. Risom helped introduce Scandinavian design to the U.S., first for Knoll and then through his own company. DWR was honored to collaborate with him on several collections, and it was always a good day at the office when Risom was walking our halls. With unique access to hundreds of never-before-seen sketches, photographs, and ephemera, this book proves, as the slogan in Risom’s iconic ad campaign shot by Richard Avedon tells us, “The answer is Risom.”
