“Silver is the best material we have,” Georg Jensen said in 1926. “Silver has that lovely glow of moonlight, something like the light of a Danish summer night.” Founded in Copenhagen in 1904, Georg Jensen is a heritage design house rooted in its founder’s curious spirit and dedication to craft. Trained as both a goldsmith and sculptor, and shaped by the Art Nouveau movement, Jensen drew deeply from nature – translating fruits, blossoms, and leaves into silverware and home objects. “When covered by dew, silver can look like magical mist,” he noted.
From its origins as a small atelier, the house has grown into one of Denmark's most celebrated legacies – defined by a commitment to quality, innovation, and enduring design. Today, the house collaborates with contemporary designers to carry Jensen's vision into new creative expressions.
