For HAY, she’s channeled this poetic sensibility into La Pittura, a collection of tableware that turns everyday essentials into hand-painted works of art.
Different strokes
Inspired by Renaissance apothecary jars and Tuscan earthenware, La Pittura brings a painter’s intuition to ceramic form. Each piece is hand-painted by artisans in Sri Lanka as a way of making original art more accessible. “There’s nothing perfect about it – because it’s made by people,” she says.
