Details
An elephant for all ages
A delightful object for adults and children alike, the Eames Elephant (1945) developed out of the Eameses’ fascination with elephants. They designed the original elephant out of molded plywood, but fabrication methods proved too complex, and it never went into production. Vitra Design Museum expanded the elephant’s legacy by introducing this polypropylene version in the style of the Eames Molded Plastic Chair. It carries GS and CE safety certifications required for toys. Made in Germany.

Charles and Ray Eames
Design is for living. That maxim shaped a widespread shift in design during the 1940s and '50s. It was a revolution of form, an exciting visual language that signaled a new age and a fresh start – and two of its prime movers were Charles and Ray Eames. This husband-and-wife team's unique synergy led to a whole new look in furniture. Lean and modern. Sleek and simple. Beautifully functional.
