Additional Information

Born in England, Jasper Morrison was raised in both Germany and the United States before his family settled in London, where he attended Kingston College School of Art & Design and the Royal College of Art. Morrison is a self-described conceptual designer, taking familiar shapes and repurposing them into fresh ones. His 1" Reclaimed Chair (2018) – named for its 1" frame profile – reflects the appreciation he and Emeco share for the invisible qualities behind simplicity. It’s crafted from a composite of discarded industrial materials, reclaimed before they enter the long cycle that most recyclables have to undergo, hence its name. Consisting primarily of polypropylene mixed with wood fiber, this chair offers much warmer texture than raw synthetic chairs without sacrificing durability. Suitable for use indoors and out. Stacks up to 10 high. Made in U.S.A.
