Details

Combining wood, brass, and saddle leather, the Ren Side Table (2016) marries luxurious materials with simple yet elegant forms. Distinctive and versatile, it features a removable, round leather-wrapped tray nestled on a walnut frame with brass accents. Shanghai-based designers Neri & Hu create thoughtful objects that enrich contemporary life while linking to a collective history. The table’s Canaletto walnut frame traces the shape of the Chinese ideogram “ren,” which means “person” or “human being.” Ren’s inviting yet uncluttered aesthetic makes it ideal for transient spaces such as entryways and halls; as a grounding presence in living rooms and bedrooms; or a warm accent in bathrooms. Made in Italy.
