ABOUT THE STUDIO
Located in the warehouse district of downtown Austin, the DWR Studio joins a growing number of specialty shops and restaurants that have emerged along West 2nd Street during the area's recent urban renaissance. Home to both new and classic modern designs, the Studio is just one block from the banks of Town Lake and is surrounded both by buildings of local historical interest and by Austin's new modern City Hall, designed by architect Antoine Predock. Overseeing the Studio is DWR veteran Stephani Rose and her friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Complimentary validated parking for up to two hours Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm, at City Hall, 302 W. 2nd Street/Willie Nelson Blvd.

Eames Film Festival
Thursday, June 6, 10am–8pm; Documentary screening at 6:30pm
Enjoy a screening of the films of Charles and Ray Eames.
Taking a multidisciplinary approach to design long before that was the norm, the Eameses created over 100 short films between 1950 and 1982. Ranging from one to 30 minutes in length, they cover topics from toy tops to the world of Franklin and Jefferson, from simple sea creatures to the explanation of advanced mathematical and scientific concepts. Join us, with our neighbors Bang & Olufsen, for a screening of several of them, throughout the afternoon. At 6:30pm we’ll be showing “Eames: The Architect and the Painter,” a documentary about the iconic couple. Enjoy movie-appropriate snacks and drinks.
