ABOUT THE STUDIO
Our Scottsdale location is the largest Studio in the Southwest, with room to display a broad range of designs for the home, workspace, restaurant and public space. Located near Old Town Scottsdale, the Studio is surrounded by restaurants, shops and galleries, as well as a new waterfront residential development, and is one block north of the largest shopping center in Phoenix, Fashion Square Mall. Formerly a restaurant, the Studio's Aztec-inspired building designed by architect Frank Henry may seem like an unlikely place for modern furniture but has been personalized with signature DWR displays and a beautiful patio area with waterfall and fireplace. Studio Proprietor Gabe Holland oversees the Studio along with his friendly and knowledgeable staff.
See photos of our Scottsdale Studio and learn more about architect Frank Henry on the DWR Blog.
DWR STUDIO EVENT
Eames Film Festival + International Yarn Bomb Day
Wednesday, June 5, 6pm and Sunday, June 9, 10:45am
Enjoy a screening of the films of Charles and Ray Eames.
Taking a multidisciplinary approach to design long before that was the norm, the Eameses created over 100 short films between 1950 and 1982. Ranging from one to 30 minutes in length, they cover topics from toy tops to the world of Franklin and Jefferson, from simple sea creatures to the explanation of advanced mathematical and scientific concepts. Come by to check out a screening of several of them and enjoy movie-appropriate snacks and drinks. Plus, it’s the Herman Miller® Sale: May 31 through June 10, test-drive the best in modern design and get 15% off the entire Herman Miller collection – including the DWR exclusive Eames® Molded Wood Side Chair, their brand new (old) design, finally realized after 70 years.
Plus!: Stop by the Studio on June 9 at 11am to celebrate International Yarn Bomb Day. A representative from Jessica Knits will give a knitting demo and present a slide show of notable public displays of knitting. We’ll Yarn Bomb an Eames® LCW in honor of the Herman Miller Sale.
