ABOUT THE STUDIO
Our Stamford Studio is located in a 6,500-square-foot space directly across from Fairway Market, in the Harbor Point area of Stamford. Designed by New York-based architecture group Sayigh + Duman, DWR Stamford inhabits Building 35A of the historic Yale & Towne Manufacturing Company complex, which was built in 1913 for the world’s foremost manufacturer of locks and hoists. The build-out of Building 35A continues DWR’s tradition of preserving and restoring historic buildings.
Stop in and visit our Design Bar – a 32-foot-long interactive space where clients can access our extensive product assortment and design interior and exterior layouts using our 3D Room Planner. Located beneath a floating Light Cloud, which is composed of both new and iconic lighting pendants, the Design Bar faces a wall-mounted installation of more than 600 fabric and leather upholstery tiles from Maharam, Knoll®, Spinneybeck® and Edelman Leather®, representing our product customization options. And, of course, there is a lot of furniture to test-drive, including 20 room vignettes, offering design solutions for living, dining, work and sleep.
Studio Proprietor Troyce Smith has relocated from our Princeton Studio to manage the new space. Troyce is a talented interior designer and a true modernist. Together with her friendly and knowledgeable staff, she invites you to stop by and experience this innovative space.
