Flos was founded in 1962 in Merano, Italy, specifically to produce modern lighting. Founding members Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni rocked the design world with the introduction of the Arco Floor Lamp and Taraxacum Pendant. The company still partners with internationally renowned talent, including Philippe Starck, Antonio Citterio and Piero Lissoni.
