Designed by Peter Bowles for Original BTC
When designer Peter Bowles discovered a mold for an industrial-style light, he was inspired to recreate it in a way that would work in a variety of settings. Although the designer of the original (circa 1940) is unknown, Bowles was determined to stay true to its shape and quality while also updating it to be more eco-friendly. Referring to his lights as “beautifully unprocessed,” all of Bowles’ aluminum shades and bases are spun by hand from sheet metal in the heart of the U.K.’s metalworking industry and sent to Oxford for assembly. His company is committed to green practices and to reducing petrochemical use as much as possible. The Titan Pendant (1995) provides mostly downward-focused lighting, with a wired glass diffuser that lets you enjoy the energy savings of fluorescent bulbs without sacrificing soft, warm ambient lighting. This fixture suits both residential and commercial spaces. Bulb (not included): incandescent 100W/A21/E26 or comparable CFL/LED. UL Listed. Made in the U.K.
Aluminum housing; spun aluminum ceiling rose; wired glass diffuser; cloth-covered cord.
