Additional Information

Edward Wohl has worked with wood all his life, but he began his formal career in architecture, receiving a bachelor’s from Washington University in St. Louis. In 1967, he moved to Madison, Wisconsin, and worked as a draftsman for a short period before enrolling in a graduate design program with a focus on ergonomics at the University of Wisconsin. Wohl worked with Stumpf making models, prototypes and furniture for nearly 40 years, absorbing a level of design and craftsmanship that he wouldn’t have learned from anyone else in the world. Each is precision-shaped and beveled for graceful shape and balance, then sanded and oiled by hand. Treat occasionally with mineral oil. Made in U.S.A.

After studying engineering and architecture at Ohio State University, he joined the Peace ...
