Details
Danish designers Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen and Kasper Rønn named their company to express their dedication to “working with Danish norms and standards refined over hundreds of years,” says Bjerre-Poulsen, “rather than rejecting them in the endless search for new.” The sincerity of their approach – bypassing flashy design for good design – shows in the quality of their work. The Carrie Portable LED Lantern (2016) was inspired by the Danish word hygge, a term that encapsulates the notion of creating a warm, cozy atmosphere to enjoy during winter months. Designed for versatility, this lightweight lamp with four-step dimmable LED array can be used indoors on a desk, at a table or by a bed, as well as carried outdoors during evening strolls. The cordless design comes with a concealed magnetic connector at its base for easy charging. The rechargeable lithium battery lasts up to five hours of continuous use. Bulb (included): LED 2W/2700K/384 lumens. Made in China.
